Wabokkio privacy policy

Who we are

Wabokkio is a trade name of Wabokkio B.V., Groot Emiclaer 157, 3822 TL Amersfoort, the Netherlands, Chamber of Commerce (KvK) number 58114262. We are the controller responsible for processing your personal data as described in this policy. Contact: [email protected], +31 6 43779858.

What data we process

Name, email address and phone number.
Travel details: destination, travel dates, number of adults and children, and the children’s ages.
For a booking: the names of all travellers as required by the hotel, and any special requests (for example a cot or a dietary requirement).
Technical data from your visit to the website, such as your IP address, for security purposes only.

Why we use this data

To respond to your request and prepare a quote (performance of a contract or steps taken prior to entering into one).
To make a booking with the hotel or our booking partners (performance of the contract).
To comply with legal obligations, such as the statutory tax record-keeping requirement.
To keep the website secure (legitimate interest).

We will not send you newsletters or advertising without your explicit consent.

Children’s data

We only ask for children’s ages, because hotels base their prices and rooms on them. We only ask for children’s names once a booking is confirmed, if the hotel requires them.

The hotels and accommodation you book.
The travel-agent booking platforms we use, such as RateHawk and Expedia TAAP.
Our IT suppliers for hosting and email (including Cloudflare, Resend, Hostnet and Google). We have data processing agreements in place with them.

Some of these parties are located outside the European Economic Area. In that case we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses. We never sell your data.

How long we keep data

Requests that do not lead to a booking: no longer than 12 months.
Booking data: 7 years, because of the statutory tax record-keeping requirement.

Security

The website uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS). We store requests in encrypted form, and only we have access to them.

Cookies

We only use functional cookies that are needed for the website to work. If we start using analytics or marketing cookies in the future, we will ask for your consent first.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify or erase your data, to restrict processing, to object, and to data portability. To exercise these rights, email [email protected]. We will respond within one month. If you are not satisfied with how we handle your data, you can lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
